This is the public announcement and invitation for  the XXth Standing Conference of Eastern, Central and Southern African Library and Information Associations (SCECSAL), Nairobi, Kenya.

 

 

VENUE:       LAICO Regency Hotel, Nairobi, Kenya. This is a 5-star hotel with modern conference facilities and spacious rooms. The conference organizers have negotiated a special conference rate of US $ 195 (BB) for single rooms

 

THEME:  “Information for Sustainable Development in the Digital Environment”

 

The conference brings together information professionals from Africa and the world to share ideas and deliberate on strategies to improve access and information delivery for sustainable development on the continent with emphasis on access to the African research output

 

In addition, there will be an exhibition on library information resources, materials and systems

 

Registration Fee:         -     US $ 300

The Registration fee entitles delegates to:

-        Free conference facilities

-        Lunch at the venue

-        Morning and evening tea/snacks

-        Cultural Evening Reception
